The Community of Lundar is a regional service centre supporting the Agricultural, Fishing, Recreation and Tourism industries.
We are home to numerous Construction Companies, Agricultural Farms, Commercial Fishing and Retail businesses.
In addition to offering excellent recreational opportunities for fishing and hunting, the area is well known internationally for its wildlife management areas including marsh bird nesting and refuge areas.
There are many organizations and facilities in the R.M. of Coldwell that residents may utilize to stay busy all seasons of the year. With a focus on sports, the organizations and activities offer something for children, young people, and adults.
RECREATION
During the winter months there are various sports to partake in, such as hockey, figure skating, snowmobiling, ice-fishing and cross country skiing. Different levels of most team sports exist to accommodate the wide range of ages that play them. Lundar has an indoor skating rink with artificial ice which is home to the Lundar Junior B Falcons.
Summer sports include baseball, water sports and swimming. In addition to the various team sports, Lundar has a golf course which offers 18 holes of golf with grass greens, watered fairways and a licensed clubhouse.
There is also a Junior Olympic outdoor swimming pool which offers lessons and public swimming, as well as a splash pad. Skate park and Multi-sport pad to allow basketball, tennis and pickell ball
The newly finished baseball diamonds house multiple tournaments with camp grounds coming in the future.
FACILITIES
The Royal Canadian Legion hall caters to a wide variety of events and community groups. Wedding socials, dances, and Chase the Ace and Meat draws. The Christmas Craft sale is always a fun event. .
Secluded campsites, boat launching, and spectacular beaches can be found at Lundar Provincial Recreation Park located west of Lundar.

ANNUAL EVENTS
During the month of June the annual Lundar Agricultural Fair is held, at which time the local 4-H Clubs hold their achievement and Cattle auction. There is also a horse show, live entertainment, craft displays, a mid-way and fireworks.
The Lundar All Breed Beef Cattle Show & Sale is a popular event for producers and sellers of cattle held in April.
For the sportsmen, Lundar hosts the "All Canadian Goose Shoot" in October which attracts hunters from all over Western Canada and the US.
The Trap Club promotes Trap shooting for all ages and promotes Junior Shooting with a Junior Shotgun Program. There is also an Annual Trap Shoot for Competitive shooting.
RM of Coldwell and local sponsors Host the March Madness Ice Fishing Tournament for the entire month of March offering great prizes and fun.
The Lundar Winter Carnival is held in March with the crowning of Carnival King and Queen. Lots of fun activities to take in.
Lundar Lobsterfest Dinner and Dance is held June 30th every year. By purchasing a ticket you will get a steak and/or lobster supper and a chance to win $1200!!
Sportsplex Dinner and Dance is held in September every year. By purchasing a ticket you are also entered to win a grand prize of $2000
The Lundar Pool has their Annual Gala Fundraiser held in August.
Be sure to watch for the Santa Claus Parade with Hot Chocolate and treats for the little ones.
